Adding filters to a layer

Filters can be added to a layer in two ways:

• Directly from the Table View by clicking on a column, then on Add filter...
• In the Filter tab of the style editor, by clicking on the Add filter button.

Filters work on all data types, including text, numbers, booleans and dates.

Creating new filtered layers

It can be useful to create new derived layers that contain just the filtered data from the original. This can be achieved by clicking on the **Update** text in pink, then selecting the Update in new layer option from the dropdown menu.

Filters & Transformations

Transformations from the Spatial Analysis toolkit can use filtered layers as input, which is very convenient for quick data wrangling & exploration.
